Robert H. Smith
Robert Smith is Chairman of Vornado/Charles E. Smith, providing leadership for key development, acquisition, and other strategic activities.
He has over 52 years of experience in all phases of office and residential development, construction and management. Under his leadership, Vornado/Charles E. Smith has become the largest and leading commercial real estate organization in the Washington area--a position resulting from Robert Smith's values of excellence and integrity. Robert Smith has been active in civic affairs as well, lending his energy and expertise to a variety of local, national and international organizations.
Mitchell N. Schear
Mitchell N. Schear is the President of Vornado/Charles E. Smith—and has overall responsibility for the Division’s performance and growth. Mitchell joined Smith in April 2003 from The Kaempfer Company, where he served as President, with oversight responsibilities for all development, leasing, and management activities.
Mitchell serves on several boards on behalf of the real estate industry and the community. He is vice chair of the Board of Downtown DC BID, the Board of the Cultural Development Corporation, member of the Federal City Council, member of the Urban Land Institute, a member of AFIRE, and is chair of the Board of the Lowell School.
Prior to his fifteen years with the The Kaempfer Company, Mitchell was in charge of the commercial leasing division of Blake Construction Company. Mitchell graduated from Hobart College and received his MBA from George Washington University.
